Information

Target audience : International students wishing to pursue a study project in France.

Course type : Intensive French as a foreign language courses with methodological modules to prepare for entry into higher education.

Prerequisite : A desire to prepare for a French language diploma in order to access higher education in France or a French-speaking country.

Level : A0 à C1

      You have no notion of French and have never studied French
    • A1.1
      You can speak and understand the language to a very limited extent on topics familiar in your immediate environment
    • A1
      You can understand French in everyday situations if the person you are speaking with speaks softly and clearly
    • A2
      You can communicate and make yourself understood through simple messages on familiar matters related to your immediate environment
    • B1
      You can understand the main points of clear standard discussion on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc., and can deal independently with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling
    • B2 Description
      You can understand the essential content of concrete or abstract subjects in a complex (text, including a technical discussion in your specialisation. Communicate with spontaneity and ease with a native speaker
    • C1/C2
      You are able to express yourself spontaneously and fluently without much searching for words on complex subjects in a clear and well-structured way

Maximum number of participants : 12

Session duration : 1 or 2 semesters

Hours : 20 hours per week on average

Dates : Semester 1 from 14/09 to 18/12/26 - Semester 2 from 04/01/27 to 09/04/27

Objectives & Program

Goals

  • Acquire a level of academic and professional French
  • Develop the methodological skills necessary for academic success in France: essay writing, summarizing, presentations, note-taking, university immersion, French for Specific and Academic Purposes…
  • Preparing for access to French higher education and vocational training programs
  • Obtain a diploma validating ECTS credits, recognized in France and internation

Methodological approach

  • Courses are taught in groups of a maximum of 12 students for personalized attention.
  • Optional workshops: cultural visits, guided independent work.
  •  Flexibility: possibility of joining each level in the 1st or 2nd semester.
An accelerated path is possible

The most motivated students can follow a unique accelerated program :

  • 1 language level in semester 1
  • 1 language level in semester 2
  • One additional level during the summer thanks to super intensive courses

It is therefore possible to progress 3 levels in one yearand to reach more quickly the level required to enter university or a prestigious school.

One semester = 12 weeks of classes including 1 week of vacation + 1 week of exams + 1 week for resits

Progression: 1 level per semester
